Tompkins Robotics has 3 t-Sort robotic sortation models.
The original t-Sort performs much like a tilt tray or crossbelt sorter without a fixed track, allowing independent robots to travel freely to any divert or induction station along the shortest path, greatly enhancing efficiency and maximizing operational capabilities. The t-Sort system features multiple interchangeable tray designs that are capable of handling a wide variety of products including round, cylindrical, lightweight, apparel, footwear and much more. Its fully modular and scalable design provides the flexibility, rapid implementation and customization that is unmatched by any other solution on the market today.
t-Sort is ideal for less than 33-pound items and packages up to 24” x 18”. Used in e-commerce, retail, shipping and other applications.
The t-Sort Plus provides a much-needed solution for the large and heavy unit and parcel sortation market. Capable of handling cartons, mailers, bags and other containers up to 66 pounds, the t-Sort Plus is a versatile solution for operations with unique application requirements. The t-Sort Plus offers multiple carrier options including a range of tilt trays or a crossbelt and can be used for a variety of applications including inner pack and carton level store replenishment, heavy goods returns processing and inbound carton sortation.
t-Sort Plus model can handle all that t-Sort can handle AND larger, heavier loads up to 120 pounds and 1.0 x 0.5 meters. Used primarily in applications for shipping, case, tote and large item sortation in a variety of applications.
The t-Sort Mini is the first unit sortation system to uniquely meet the growing demand for e-commerce and retail fulfillment and returns processing of small, lightweight items. At nearly half the size of the original t-Sort solution, the t-Sort Mini is ideal for sorting items up to 5 pounds, including jewelry, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Its faster travel speeds result in a higher induction rate and lower labor requirement for fulfillment operations. The t-Sort Mini’s ergonomic and compact design greatly increases throughput while minimizing space requirements and system investment.
t-Sort Mini sorts items up to 10” x 7” and 5 pounds. Ideally suited for jewelry, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and similar shaped/types of products in a variety of applications.
In response to COVID-19 and limiting travel, Tompkins Robotics is now offering interactive virtual tours using a variety of stationary and roaming cameras throughout the facility. We have the capability to demonstrate five t-Sort systems with various configurations, robots and functionalities. The main demonstration system includes three different induction types: manual, robotic and A-frame. Our systems are capable of e-commerce order fulfillment, store replenishment, backroom and parcel / postal sortation. We can demonstrate the original t-Sort robotic system in multiple dual level configurations and an elevator system to move robots between the levels. Our larger t-Sort Plus robots run on single level systems with both tilt tray and crossbelt options. In the very near future we will demonstrate the new t-Sort Mini in an additional system. We have a wide variety of inventory to demonstrate products including general merchandise, apparel, grocery, fragile goods, odd sizes and shapes and a wide range of product weights. You will also have a chance to learn about the technologies that are integrated into our system such as automated induction, automated charging, integrated weight and dimension capture, our proprietary wireless network and Warehouse Execution System (WES), new innovations such as our automated sorter exit solution and more. And if mobility and flexibility are important to you, we can demonstrate how easy it is to reconfigure a system, remove or add a sort table, and even fold a table into a smaller footprint for move or transport.
